Blockchain Developer

About the Role:

This position involves designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on private/permissioned blockchain platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend components using open-source technology stacks.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Scalable Solutions: Develop secure, high-performance solutions on private/permissioned blockchain platforms.
  • Maintain APIs and Backend Components: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend components using open-source technology stacks.
  • Integrate Blockchain Nodes: Integrate blockchain nodes with application layers and ensure seamless data flow and transaction integrity.
  • Manage Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the blockchain application, including setup, smart contract development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Implement Logging and Monitoring Systems: Implement logging, alerting, and monitoring systems to ensure solution health and availability.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with architects, DevOps, front-end developers, and security teams to deliver robust and enterprise-grade applications.
  • Write Maintainable Code: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and standards.

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of Experience in Backend Development: 5+ years of experience in backend development using open-source technologies.
  • Experience with Smart Contracts: Experience in developing and deploying smart contracts/chaincode.
  • Proficiency in Docker and Container Orchestration: Proficiency in working with Docker, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good Understanding of Blockchain Concepts: Good understanding of blockchain consensus mechanisms, identity management, and network governance.
  • RESTful API Design and Middleware Integration: Experience with RESTful API design, middleware integration, and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Familiarity with Database Systems: Familiarity with database systems (NoSQL and SQL), especially for off-chain data storage.
  • Monitoring Tools: Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) for application and node health
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Encryption: Knowledge of encryption, digital signatures, and zero-knowledge proofs.
  • DevOps Tools and Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with DevOps tools, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) services, and security practices.
  • Regulated Environments: Experience of working in regulated environments (e.g. government tech)
