Principal DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps professional to spearhead our Release Engineering and infrastructure management initiatives. This role demands a unique blend of technical acumen, leadership prowess, and passion for operational excellence in a dynamic environment.

• Design and implement robust continuous build and deployment mechanisms using innovative programmatic solutions and automation.
• Drive the automation of tasks for streamlined deployment and delivery processes.
• Identify, address, and streamline tools and processes for build and deployment challenges.
• Develop, maintain, and update documentation and diagrams outlining automated solutions and infrastructure architecture.
• Lead the integration and deployment of complex applications across diverse platforms including AWS, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components.
• Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing and deployment of applications, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of software releases.
• Automation: Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline manual processes, reducing manual intervention and increasing efficiency.
• Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain monitoring and logging systems to proactively identify and address issues, ensuring the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.
• Security: Collaborate with the security team to implement and enhance security best practices throughout the development and deployment process, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to foster a culture of collaboration and communication, facilitating the smooth flow of code from development through to production.
• Troubleshooting: Act as a subject matter expert in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and overall system performance.
• Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure that systems can handle current and future load requirements.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience in infrastructure Development, Administration, Release, Deployment, Application Engineering.
• 3 years of experience in developing and automating solutions in Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code and experience with Chef, CloudFormation is good to have.
• Strong experience in Cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of DevOps pipelines using Azure DevOps and processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of IT Security and related audits.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, Bash, Ruby, Python, PowerShell.
• Solid experience in Linux, Windows administration, and shell scripting.
• Experience with Trunk Branching methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with the build and deployment process for JavaScript, .Net Core, Java, Maven, and Python.
