AS400 Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled AS400 support specialist to ensure the smooth operation of our clients' systems.

This role requires experience with IBM AS400 (COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE, CLLE) and a strong understanding of business applications and technical architecture.

The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of system architecture diagrams, including interface mechanisms with upstream and downstream systems, as well as environment details such as OS levels and database versions.

Responsibilities will include code walkthroughs of complex COBOL, RPG code modules, integration with other systems, and monitoring setup, including current monitoring mechanisms, log directories, and housekeeping processes on AS400 servers.

As an AS400 support specialist, you will work closely with L2/L3 support teams and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure smooth system operation.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of system architecture.
  • Perform code walkthroughs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Integrate with other systems.
  • Implement monitoring setup and procedures.
