Job Title : AS400 EngineerLocation : Bengaluru, IndiaWork Arrangement : HybridAbout the Role :We are seeking an experienced AS400 Engineer to join our technology team. The role involves managing and supporting Level 2/3 solutions across highly available platforms and business-critical products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AS400 systems, database technologies, and modern automation practices, while also contributing to infrastructure management, security, and system Responsibilities :- Provide Level 2/3 support for AS400 platform including batch processing, job scheduling, and reporting.- Manage and maintain DB2 for IBM and SQL Server databases.- Work with LANSA applications (highly regarded but not essential).- Support Java-based applications and Apache Tomcat (Java Web Application server).- Perform Windows Server management and administration.- Implement and maintain observability, logging, and monitoring tools.- Manage SSL certificates, vulnerability remediation, and patching processes.- Conduct capacity planning and management for systems and applications.- Ensure disaster recovery and high availability strategies are in place.- Work with APIs and support integration-related initiatives.- Provide exposure and support for Akamai, SSO, Load Balancers (F5), and Firewalls.- Use ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence for IT service and project management.- Manage AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift).- Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.- Implement DevOps practices using CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS Skills & Experience :- Proven experience as a Platform/AS400 Engineer in a highly available production environment.- Strong knowledge of AS400 platform and DB2/SQL Server databases.- Hands-on expertise in automation scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).- Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring solutions.- Knowledge of Windows Server administration and Java/Tomcat applications.- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and DevOps CI/CD tools.- Experience with vulnerability management, SSL certificates, and system patching.- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to Qualifications :- Exposure to LANSA development.- Experience with APIs, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and SSO solutions.- Familiarity with capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies.- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and working knowledge of ServiceNow.
