Job Title: Senior Manager

This role is accountable for managing overall tax compliances including GST and transfer pricing as well as banking & treasury matters.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and Indirect Tax Compliances:
    • Manage tax compliance, GST reporting and filings with tax authorities.
    • Ensure timely compliances of GST, Withholding tax returns and Corporate tax returns.
    • Ensure timely compliances of Tax audit, Transfer pricing audit and GST annual return/audit.
    • Prepare transfer pricing documentation and manage tax assessment of Group companies in India.
  • Tax Assessment/Litigation:
    • Liaise with tax authorities to complete income tax assessments, transfer pricing assessments and VAT/CST assessments.
    • Submit timely responses to notices from tax authorities.
    • Liaise with tax consultants for tax litigation matters.
    • Manage litigation and ensure minimal litigation through dispute resolution, completion of assessments/appeals, refunds and submissions.
  • Tax Planning and Risk Management:
    • Identify tax planning opportunities and resolve issues while saving costs.
    • Implement effective systems or processes for tax risk management.
    • Maintain a compliant, responsive and risk-free organization from a long-term tax perspective.
  • Tax Advisory:
    • Provide transaction advisory services for optimal solutions, including day-to-day transactions to minimize tax outflow while maintaining high standards of compliance.
    • Serve as the key point of contact for local and regional taxation matters.
  • Banking and Treasury:
    • Evaluate and advise on proposals from banks regarding new financing facilities.
    • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with banks.
    • Stay up-to-date with RBI banking regulations.
    • Comply with Foreign Exchange Management (FEMA) regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant qualification.
