Senior Data Scientist Job Description

Job Overview

Our organization seeks an experienced Senior Data Scientist to spearhead end-to-end Machine Learning projects, explore and implement state-of-the-art research in ML and Generative AI, build and optimize deep learning models for complex business challenges, collaborate across teams to turn insights into scalable products, and mentor junior data scientists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end ML projects from research and experimentation to production deployment.
  • Explore and implement state-of-the-art research in ML and Generative AI.
  • Build and optimize deep learning and machine learning models for complex business challenges.
  • Collaborate across teams to turn insights into scalable products.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and interns to help them grow with impactful projects.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in Data Science/Machine Learning roles.
  • Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and core ML algorithms (Regression, Decision Trees, Gradient Descent, SVMs, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python and frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
  • Hands-on experience with transformer architectures and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Familiarity with tools like Langchain or LlamaIndex for LLM-based applications.
  • Ability to convert theoretical research into production-ready solutions.
