Senior Public Relations Specialist

At our organization, we are seeking a seasoned and skilled Senior Public Relations Specialist to join our team. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional who can provide strategic guidance on public relations initiatives and manage day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients and media representatives via phone and email to gather information and coordinate PR efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, media, and marketing teams to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Manage the PR aspect of potential crises and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and ensure that all PR efforts align with their goals and objectives.
Media Monitoring & Coverage
  • Monitor traditional and digital media outlets, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, social media, podcasts, blogs, and newswires.
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate media coverage to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Track newspapers, magazines, and websites for opportunities to promote our organization's interests.
Publicity & Campaign Management
  • Develop publicity strategies and campaigns to enhance our organization's reputation and achieve business objectives.
  • Strategize, enable execution, and create quarterly roadmaps to drive results.
  • Prepare briefs, scripts, campaign taglines, and responses for interviews to effectively communicate our message.
  • Write and disseminate press releases, articles, and features to targeted media outlets.
  • Promote news stories and features through social media and other channels.
  • Design and manage publicity brochures, websites, and promotional videos when budgets are allocated.
Event Management
  • Organize and manage press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours, and visits to showcase our organization's products and services.
  • Attend and promote client events to media and PR platforms.
  • Coordinate studio or location photography to capture high-quality images for marketing purposes.
  • Speak publicly at interviews, conferences, and presentations to share knowledge and expertise.
Brand Development
  • Develop and foster relationships with brands and third parties to expand our organization's network and partnerships.
  • Develop quarterly and annual roadmaps to align with client business goals.
  • Leverage partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities to enhance our brand visibility.
  • Liaise with marketing teams to create cross-channel strategies and promote our organization's brand.
Influencer & Thought Leadership Engagement
  • Build relationships with industry leaders to grow awareness and recognition for our organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and influencer activities to inform our strategy.
  • Conduct trend forecasting for clients and their industries to provide valuable insights.
Research & Analysis
  • Commission and undertake market research to gather data and intelligence.
  • Research new business proposals and present findings to potential clients.
  • Analyze industry trends affecting clients and recommend communication strategies to address challenges.
Team Contribution
  • Motivate the team and encourage a friendly, open work environment.
  • Maintain a network of resources to deploy when needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation across all initiatives.
