Job Opportunity: IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of IT Infrastructure Specialist. This entry-level position involves supporting the organization's computer systems, networks, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Support: Provide timely and effective technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Network Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the company's local area network (LAN) and internet connectivity.
  • Software Installation: Help install and update software across the organization's systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic IT problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Data Backup: Ensure regular data backups and contribute to the organization's data security efforts.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, issues, and resolutions in a ticketing or documentation system.
  • Security Monitoring: Support basic IT security tasks, such as ensuring antivirus updates and security patches are applied.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree (mandatory).
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in IT support or administration (internships, part-time roles, or self-taught experience welcome).
  • Basic Knowledge of:
  • Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Network concepts (e.g., IP addresses, DNS, routers, switches).
  • Hardware components (e.g., computers, printers, servers).
  • Office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical staff.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.

  • IT Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, or similar.
  • Network Security: Basic knowledge of network security and firewall configurations.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
