Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructures using AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) with Python.

You will work closely with DevOps teams to translate complex infrastructure requirements into reusable, maintainable CDK constructs using Python scripting and AWS Boto3 SDK.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage AWS infrastructure as code using AWS CDK with Python.
  • Develop reusable CDK constructs modeling AWS infrastructure.
  • Automate AWS service interactions leveraging Boto3 beyond CDK.
  • Manage project environments and dependencies using pip, virtualenv, or venv.
  • Use CDK CLI commands to build and deploy cloud stacks.
  • Write and execute unit and integration tests for infrastructure code using pytest.
  • Debug and validate infrastructure code quality with tools like flake8.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK): Strong proficiency in AWS CDK Python SDK.
  • Python: Solid experience with Python syntax, scripting, and object-oriented programming.
  • AWS Boto3 SDK: Experience using AWS Boto3 SDK for automation.
  • Packaging and Environment Management: Familiarity with Python packaging and environment management.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Practical knowledge of infrastructure automation using Python scripting.
  • CDK CLI Commands: Experience running CDK CLI commands.
  • Test-Driven Development: Experience writing and running tests with pytest.
  • Code Validation: Skills in debugging and code validation using tools like flake8.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Technical Documentation: Ability to write clear technical documentation.
