Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, with a focus on welding and fabrication.

  • Evaluate and approve suppliers based on technical and quality capabilities.
  • Conduct process audits and product inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Review and approve welding procedure specifications, procedure qualification records, and welder qualifications.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and quality requirements are clearly communicated to suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and implement process improvements in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Maintain inspection and quality documentation for traceability and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and customer specifications.
  • Provide technical support for NDT, heat treatment, and material traceability requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during inspections.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on welding and fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes.
  • Familiarity with fabrication drawings, GD&T, and material specifications.
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, 8D, SPC, etc.).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and standards.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites as required.
