Database Administrator Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in database development in a large enterprise environment.
Technical Expertise:
  • Intersystems IRIS/Cache (Ensemble) Administration
  • Implementing security best practices and access control policies
  • Capacity planning and performance tuning
  • Design and implementation backup strategies in IRIS
  • Design and implementation disaster recovery strategies
  • Implementing high availability / Interoperability
  • Implementing reporting/mirroring
  • IRIS installation, upgrades, and database patching
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving for complex issues
  • Managing Database maintenance solutions
  • Implementation of monitoring and other support tools in IRIS
  • DATABASE DESIGN AND DATA MODELING SKILLS
  • EXPERIENCE IN INTEGRATING IRIS WITH ETL/BI SOFTWARE
  • EXPERIENCE IN TICKETING SYSTEMS LIKE SERVICENOW
  • EXPERIENCE IN RELEASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS LIKE AZURE DEVOPS
  • AGILE METHODOLOGY KNOWLEDGE
