Job Title: Mechanical Millwork Designer

Role:

  • Design mechanical millwork projects, including casework, cabinetry and other custom woodwork.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, knowledge of industry standards and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to develop detailed and accurate mechanical millwork designs.
  2. Create 3D models and generate 2D drawings using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  3. Conduct site visits to take measurements and gather information needed for design development.
  4. Prepare material and hardware selection and produce accurate bills of materials.
  5. Optimize designs for functionality, cost-effectiveness and adherence to project requirements.
  6. Create production documents, including shop drawings, fabrication plans and installation instructions.
  7. Review and modify designs based on feedback from team members, clients and quality control inspections.
  8. Collaborate with the production team to address design-related issues during fabrication and installation.
  9. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and new materials to enhance design capabilities.

Requirements:

  • AutoCAD expertise and ability to work on architectural and furniture drawings.
  • Hands-on experience in panel optimization and production process management.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP, ERP tools and 2020 Design Software for furniture design.
