Senior Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Experience in building highly scalable applications, handling large/complex architectures.
  2. Worked on distributed systems.
  3. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, evolving product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.
  4. Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  5. People Management: Leading, managing, and developing teams in a fast-paced environment. Passion for Results.
  6. High degree of commitment with bias for execution excellence. Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies. Tech background with a good understanding of data, metrics, and building models is preferred.
  7. Product grasp - capable of taking business metrics, breaking them into investment areas, and leading thought in these areas.
  8. Collaborating with product managers to define technical requirements for a new product.
  9. Identifying and driving initiatives to improve overall quality and reliability of the software.
Requirements:
  1. 15+ years of hands-on experience in developing, designing & scaling complex systems both horizontally & vertically.
  2. Take ownership of delivery with a focus on consistency, quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
  3. Manage multiple feature teams working on shipping multiple capabilities and features.
  4. Provide technical guidance to the team on approach and architecture.
  5. Work with stakeholders to provide transparency, proactively unblock the teams, and maximize engineering throughput.
  6. Ensure alignment of the teams with the process and goals of the organization.
  7. Empower engineers to make the biggest impact possible for the company while reaching their professional development goals.
  8. Work with leads and ICs and provide them the right opportunity to grow while driving their productivity and morale.
  9. Execute engineering efficiency projects based on learning.
  10. Provide inputs and drive process improvements.
  11. Drive and provide guidance on performance reviews for the team.
  12. Take ownership of hiring and on boarding for the engineering team.
  13. Leadership & Management Skills: Ability to motivate, coach, and guide teams effectively.
  14. Strategic Thinking & Planning: Ability to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company.
