Kauvery Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Trichy City, seeks an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities. This is a critical role that involves identifying reliable vendors, negotiating cost-effective purchases, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials and services.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire purchasing process, from sourcing to payment. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Procurement & Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for raw materials, machinery spares, consumables, and services. Obtain quotations, compare price, quality, and delivery terms, and finalize purchase orders.
  2. Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Conduct vendor performance evaluation based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines. Negotiate contracts, terms, and payment conditions.
  3. Purchase Operations: Issue Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies and approvals. Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production schedule. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the stores/warehouse for replenishment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Engineering / Management.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in procurement/purchase in a manufacturing/industrial setup.
  • Knowledge of local and international sourcing preferred.
Key Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems / MS Office.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Vendor relationship management.
  • Cost-conscious with attention to detail.
