Job Description:

As an Elasticsearch Administrator, you will be responsible for continuously evaluating the performance of our Elasticsearch clusters to identify potential issues.

You will plan changes for upcoming high-load events, apply security fixes, test incremental upgrades, and extend and improve our monitoring and alert infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and optimize Elasticsearch clusters in public cloud, Kubernetes, and private datacenter environments
  • Work with various infrastructure and operations teams to build long-lasting partnerships across the organization
  • Participate in on-call rotations and jump on escalated issues as needed
  • Implement automation and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Packer, or CloudFormation templates
Required Expertise:
  • Administration and management of Elasticsearch clusters (primary)
  • Strong knowledge of provisioning and configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, Rundeck, etc.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk, Prometheus, PagerDuty, etc.
  • Scripting languages like Python, Bash, Go, Ruby, Perl, etc.
  • CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Pipelines, Artifactory, etc.
