About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Capacity Planning Manager to join our Global Planning and Site Strategy (GPSS) team at Amazon. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for driving growth, managing risk, and ensuring customer satisfaction by optimizing resource utilization and reducing organizational costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Relationships: Develop strong partnerships with internal and external departments to quantify business projections, forecast network capacity, investigate underlying issues, and create short- and long-term solutions.
  • Demand/Supply/Capacity Planning: Calculate required headcount and plan capacity across global sites based on volume received from forecasting teams and inputs from other teams.
  • Headcount Planning: Monitor execution of headcount plans, analyze plan performance against volume trends, SLAs, projected capacity vs. actual capacity, and track/analyze impacts of process improvements.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Prepare ad-hoc analyses, participate in projects as needed, keep track of hiring, inform stakeholders of any delays, forecast contacts and plan capacity for worldwide IPV programs, and conduct weekly/monthly governance on HC utilization.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain constant communication with WFM, business teams, finance, senior leadership, operations, recruitment, and other internal clients on the status of plans versus actual results.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
