Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team as a Backend Developer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance systems that form the backbone of applications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala or Java.
  • Lead the implementation of complex features, ensuring code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Closely collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other engineering teams to define APIs and integrate backend services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in either Scala or Java, with a deep understanding of their ecosystems, frameworks (e.g., Akka, Play, Spring Boot), and best practices.
  • Solid experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts, concurrency, and fault tolerance.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and their related services.
  • Familiarity with message queues or streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
