SAP Production Planning and Inventory Management Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as an SAP Production Planning and Inventory Management Expert.

• Monitor and manage daily batch jobs related to SAP PP and PP-DS processes, ensuring seamless inventory management and production planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve errors in scheduled background jobs related to intercompany movements (US to Canada), inventory adjustments, variance reports, production planning, and order creation, utilizing expertise in supply chain integration points such as MES, MM, and SD.
• Manage Stock Transport Requisition (STR) creation for both single and mixed loads, perform date reconciliation for multi-line STRs, and validate data accuracy in custom tables for delivery and shipping updates.
• Schedule dunnage runs and create related production orders, streamlining production execution verification and enhancing overall efficiency.
• Validate and update settlement receivers, ensuring timely and accurate settlements.
• Update planning board and handle exception messages, providing real-time visibility into production planning and inventory management.
• Manage Stock Transport Orders (STOs) for Third-Party Logistics Operator (TLO) runs and coordinate TLO execution, optimizing logistics operations.
• Update and release production orders, facilitating smooth production execution and minimizing delays.
• Verify SAP to MES integration for production order confirmations, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
• Manage STR to STO conversion processes and validate data accuracy in custom tables for delivery and shipping updates, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Liaise with business users to understand issues and provide timely resolutions, fostering strong relationships and driving business success.
• Document and escalate recurring errors, proposing long-term solutions to improve business processes and minimize errors.
• Assist with end-to-end process testing, data validations, and planning cycle activities, ensuring comprehensive knowledge of the entire production planning and inventory management process.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP PP and/or PP-DS, preferably in manufacturing or CPG environments, with a strong understanding of supply chain integration points.
• Hands-on experience with intercompany production flows, production order management, and supply chain integration points such as MES, MM, and SD, with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
• Strong knowledge of STR, STO, TLO, and dunnage processes within SAP, with the ability to independently triage and resolve batch job failures and system errors.
• Experience working with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA platforms, with a solid understanding of their functionality and capabilities.
• Familiarity with custom tables and data validation techniques in SAP, with the ability to analyze and interpret data to drive business decisions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to interact with technical and functional stakeholders, providing clear and concise solutions to complex problems.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed team environment with shifting priorities, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances.

• Experience supporting SAP-MES integration and production execution verification, with a focus on improving production efficiency and reducing errors.
• Background in SAP APO or PP/DS heuristic planning and planning board usage, with a solid understanding of advanced planning and optimization techniques.
• Prior involvement in SAP implementation, rollout, or support projects across US and Canada operations, with a focus on driving business growth and improvement.
