Senior Concept Artist Job Description

Zynga is seeking a highly skilled Senior Concept Artist to join our team. As a key member of our art team, you will be responsible for creating top-notch game artwork, including concept art, UI assets, and final in-game artwork.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality concept art, UI assets, and final in-game artwork.
  • Collaborate with the Art Director and Producers to ensure the visual identity of the game is met.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors to provide feedback and training when needed.
  • Act as a core advisor to the overall creative vision of the game.
  • Analyze top-performing games to identify trends and behaviors.
  • Create designs that consider typography, icons, grid, and color systems.
  • Approach deliverables with a systems-oriented mindset.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to keep everyone aligned.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience as a concept & UI artist.
  • Excellent eye for composition, color theory, and design.
  • Strong rendering skills and ability to adapt to different art styles.
  • Photoreal and Hyperreal painting and rendering skills highly valued.
  • Flexible mastery of art for different subject matter.
  • Ability to render identifiable human likenesses.
  • Ability to visualize ideas quickly and clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to keep pace with management and production resources.
  • Ability to create and maintain effective process documentation.
