Senior Tosca Automation Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team as a Senior Tosca Automation Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Tricentis Tosca Automation, Manual Testing, and Performance Testing, with a strong background in designing and implementing automation frameworks, conducting manual and exploratory testing, and ensuring the performance and scalability of applications.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure high-quality delivery across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Automation Frameworks: Develop robust Tosca automation frameworks that meet the needs of our business.
• Create Automated Test Scripts: Write and maintain automated test scripts for web, desktop, and API-based applications using Tricentis Tosca.
• Execute Automated Test Suites: Run automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Maintain Test Data and Environments: Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to maintain test data and test environments.
• Integrate Tosca Automation with CI/CD Tools: Integrate Tosca automation with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Manual Testing Responsibilities:

• Analyze Business Requirements: Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to write effective test cases.
• Execute End-to-End Testing: Execute end-to-end functional, integration, regression, UI, and smoke testing.
• Report Defects Clearly: Report defects clearly with logs, screenshots, and steps to reproduce.
• Participate in Agile Ceremonies: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Provide Exploratory Testing: Provide exploratory and ad-hoc testing during sprints or UAT phases.

Performance Testing Responsibilities:

• Develop and Execute Performance Tests: Develop and execute performance test scripts using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad.
• Identify Performance Bottlenecks: Identify performance bottlenecks and work with development teams to resolve them.
• Analyze Performance Test Results: Analyze and present performance test results, metrics, and KPIs.
• SIMULATE LOAD AND STRESS TEST SCENARIOS: Simulate load and stress test scenarios for scalability and reliability assessments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: 6+ years of total QA experience with a blend of automation, manual, and performance testing.
• Tosca Expertise: Minimum 3+ years of strong hands-on experience in Tricentis Tosca Automation.
• Test Case Writing: Proven experience in writing and executing test cases and test scripts.
• Performance Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad.
• SDLC Knowledge: Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Defect Management Tools: Experience with defect management tools like JIRA, TestRail, ALM, etc.
• API Testing: Good understanding of API testing (Postman, SoapUI, Tosca API).
• SQL Knowledge: Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• DevOps Familiarity: Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Documentation Skills: Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Tosca Certifications: Tosca certifications (e.g., Automation Specialist 1 & 2, Test Design Specialist).
• Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Scripting Languages: Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Groovy, etc.).
• Security and Mobile Testing: Exposure to security and mobile testing is a plus.
• Microservices and Containerization: Experience working with microservices and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
