Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our emergency response team as an Animal Emergency Responder.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling urgent animal emergencies, rescues, and cruelty cases involving animals.

  • Respond to emergency and general cruelty-case calls and emails in a timely manner
  • Arrange timely help for animals in need with the assistance of senior paravet and office assistants
  • Coordinate with approved organisations, volunteers, activists, government bodies, and officials to facilitate emergency rescues
  • File police complaints, visit agencies and case sites as needed, and perform similar tasks assigned by supervisor
  • Inform public about ways they can help animals with appropriate responses to cases
  • Maintain and update database of contacts and services available to our emergency and cruelty-case response team
  • Ensure thorough records are maintained for calls and emails received about emergencies and cruelty cases
  • Participate in professional development training on animal handling, restraining, first aid, and other relevant lessons

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution
  • Voluntary or experience handling emergency and cruelty-case responses for animals a plus
  • Computer proficiency
  • Fluency in Hindi and English
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal patiently with animal-protection organisations, volunteers, and other contacts
  • Passion for ending cruelty to animals and helping animals in need
  • Compassionate, responsible, and self-driven character
  • Outgoing and personable manner with excellent communication skills
  • Adherence to a vegan lifestyle
  • Ability and willingness to travel independently as needed
