Expert Technologist

The role of an expert technologist involves developing innovative technology solutions for emerging industries and products. The job requires interpreting system requirements into design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex technology implementation projects including scoping, requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with client teams to understand production planning requirements, constraints, and process nuances.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and work with developers and integration teams to deliver complete solutions.
  • Configure software based on best practices to support factory sequencing, constraint-based planning, pegging, and order prioritization.
  • Drive customization and scripting as needed for planning rules or integration logic.
  • Own and drive defect triage, root cause analysis, and testing phases.
  • Facilitate data mapping and migration from legacy systems; validate data accuracy and system readiness.
  • Mentor junior professionals and ensure quality delivery across all project phases.
  • Liaise with product support teams for solution optimization or issue resolution.

Requirements:

  • 7–10 years of overall experience, with at least 3–5 years in implementing technology solutions.
  • Deep knowledge in manufacturing planning, shop floor constraints, pegging strategies, and MPS/MRP processes.
  • Solid hands-on experience with programming commands, database structures, and integration with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Experience working in end-to-end technology implementation projects – from design to go-live.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and ability to debug planning outputs and performance.
  • Familiarity with integration tools like APIs is a plus.
  • Exposure to demand planning, supply planning, or control tower modules is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, client-facing, and team management skills.
