Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Expert to lead and enhance our cybersecurity architecture and practices at Mazo Solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, practical experience in threat modeling, and a proactive approach to secure software and cloud platforms.

This role requires a strong understanding of emerging threats, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices to ensure robust security measures across our applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Threat Modeling & Risk Assessment:
    • Conduct comprehensive threat modeling and architectural assessments of applications, ensuring a 'security by design' approach.
    • Document threats, vulnerabilities, and corresponding mitigation strategies.
  • Security Strategy & Implementation:
    • Evaluate technologies and solutions to enhance organizational security capabilities.
    • Identify security gaps, assess associated business risks, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Communicate complex security concepts and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
    • Work collaboratively with engineering teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
  • Compliance & Verification:
    • Verify the effectiveness of security controls against identified risks.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, frameworks, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC2).
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of security architectures, frameworks, and standards.
    • Expertise in network protocols, operating systems, applied cryptography, and identity & access management.
    • Familiarity with zero-trust principles and least privilege methodologies.
  • Threat Modeling Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge of threat modeling methodologies like STRIDE, DREAD, and PASTA.
    • Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool, OWASP Threat Dragon, and Threat Modeler.
  • Cloud Security:
    • In-depth knowledge of securing cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
    • Expertise in architecture & networking, CI/CD pipeline security, container security (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and secrets/data protection.
  • Vulnerabilities & Mitigation:
    • Deep understanding of common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top Ten, CVEs).
    • Practical experience in identifying and mitigating application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
  • Compliance Knowledge:
    • Strong familiarity with regulations and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOC2.
