Strategic Financial Leader

This highly influential role is a key position within the executive team, overseeing the financial well-being and strategic planning of the organisation.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support long-term objectives and advise on business planning.
  2. Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial metrics, monitor and direct the implementation of strategic plans.
  3. Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports, conduct thorough analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  4. Monitor and analyse monthly & quarterly profit and loss statements, prepare MIS reports and review variances.
  5. Ensure efficient operation of the finance function, managing cash flow and expense control processes, implementing best practices to maximise revenue and develop financial strategies.
  6. Understand and mitigate key organisational risks, monitor legal issues affecting the industry and construct reliable control systems.
  7. Manage relationships with stakeholders, represent the organisation with investors and bankers, raise capital as necessary for expansion.
  8. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulations, report results to stakeholders and the board.
  9. Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and standards, oversee transaction processing systems.
  10. Lead and mentor the finance team, manage accounting and finance departments, ensuring organisational financial stability.
  11. Control statutory accounts and monitor day-to-day transactions such as general ledger, bank, accounts receivable, payable and assets.
  12. Comply with tax regulations and ensure timely preparation and filing of periodic returns.
  13. Coordinate with auditors or conduct statutory audit, limited review, tax audit, cost audit and internal audit.
  14. Establish effective IT infrastructure.
Requirements

Education: A professional qualification such as CA/CPA/CMA is highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible financial leadership roles.

Skills:

  1. Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and risk management.
  2. Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
  3. Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to manage, lead, and develop teams and coordinate with other functional teams.
