ServiceNow Security Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to implement and lead our clients' ServiceNow Security Operations modules, focusing on Vulnerability Response (VR) and Security Incident Response (SIR).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implementation and Configuration:
    1. End-to-end implementation of ServiceNow VR and SIR modules, including customization of workflows, playbooks, data imports, dashboards, and business rules.
    2. Integrate threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Anomali, Recorded Future) and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Qualys, Tenable).
    3. Develop automation using Flow Designer or Security Orchestration (SOAR) for use-case-specific implementations.
  • Requirements Gathering and Design:
    1. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, risk & compliance, and IT operations to gather detailed requirements.
    2. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Integration and Automation:
    1. Integrate ServiceNow SecOps with external tools such as SIEMs, CMDB, scanners, threat intel platforms, and ticketing systems.
    2. Develop orchestration and remediation workflows for auto-assignment, enrichment, escalation, and resolution.
  • Testing and Deployment:
    1. Perform UAT, defect resolution, and cutover activities.
    2. Ensure system performance, scalability, and security compliance during deployment.
  • Documentation and Training:
    1. Create solution design documents, implementation runbooks, and end-user training materials.
    2. Conduct knowledge transfer and handover sessions for clients and internal teams.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Knowledge of ServiceNow SecOps Architecture: Understanding of ServiceNow VR and SIR module interdependencies.
  • Proven Experience: At least 2 full lifecycle implementations of VR and SIR.
  • Integration Expertise: Experience integrating ServiceNow with security tools (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Splunk, Azure Sentinel, etc.).
  • Scripting Experience: Hands-on experience with JavaScript and Glide API.
  • Familiarity with Industry Standards: Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and SOC operations.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills.
