Financial Manager

The institution is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to play a vital role in managing its financial operations.

As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records, preparing comprehensive annual budgets and financial statements, and ensuring timely and efficient disbursements.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for all financial transactions, adhering to statutory requirements and institutional policies.
  2. Prepare comprehensive annual budgets, financial statements, and management reports to support informed decision-making.
  3. Effectively manage college funds, fee collections, payroll, and vendor payments, ensuring timely and efficient disbursements.
  4. Monitor day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, receipts, and bank reconciliations, to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
  5. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and income tax.
  6. Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation, maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
  7. Track grants, scholarships, and other financial aid disbursements, providing transparent and accurate reporting.
  8. Implement and oversee internal financial controls and procedures, enhancing the institution's financial governance.
Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field (B.Com/M.Com), with professional certifications like CA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) being highly desirable.
  • At least 2–5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in an educational institution, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and taxation.
  • Proficiency in Tally / ERP software, MS Excel, and other accounting tools, with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders, and a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
