As a senior academic leader, we seek an accomplished Professor to spearhead our Department of Anatomy in driving excellence in teaching, research, and clinical skills training.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in Anatomy for MBBS, BDS, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences students, guiding postgraduate students in advanced anatomical studies, thesis writing, and seminars, developing innovative teaching methodologies including digital anatomy, simulation-based training, and cadaveric dissection, and designing and updating the Anatomy curriculum as per NMC guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Academic & Teaching:
    • Design and deliver comprehensive curricula for Anatomy courses, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and accreditation standards.
    • Develop and implement cutting-edge instructional strategies to engage students and foster a culture of inquiry and discovery.
    • Guide and mentor junior faculty members and graduate students in their research pursuits, providing expertise and support in academic and professional development.
  • Research & Publications:
    • Conduct original research projects in gross anatomy, histology, embryology, neuroanatomy, and clinical applications, disseminating findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
    • Secure funding for research initiatives, collaborating with colleagues and external partners to advance knowledge and address pressing healthcare challenges.
    • Mentor Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate students in research methodology and publication strategies, fostering a community of scholar-practitioners.
  • Administrative & Leadership:
    • Provide strategic leadership to the Department, aligning resources and personnel to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
    • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with other departments, institutions, and stakeholders to advance shared interests and priorities.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining a culture of integrity and accountability within the Department.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree (MD or MS) in Anatomy or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 8 years of teaching experience in Anatomy, with a proven track record of academic achievement and research productivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students, faculty, and staff.
  • A commitment to scholarly inquiry, innovation, and service, with a demonstrated capacity to lead and collaborate in interdisciplinary teams.
