Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Gondwana Engineers Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting tasks, reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances, and preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
  2. Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  4. Document financial transactions by entering account information and maintaining accurate records.
  5. Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options and providing insights to management.
  6. Summarize current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
  7. Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  8. Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  9. Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  10. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  11. Secure financial information by completing database backups and maintaining data integrity.
  12. Maintain financial security by following internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  13. Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  14. Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
