Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist

About the Role:

This position requires a highly skilled professional to lead the effort in developing, assigning, and managing maintenance strategies for field instrumentation equipment. The successful candidate will support asset reliability by creating and assigning appropriate equipment strategy.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzer, and control systems.

Responsibilities include reviewing and updating equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation (e.g. Transmitters, control valves, flow meters, analyzers), collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.

A strong understanding of asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management is required. Additionally, knowledge of preventive, predictive, condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets is essential.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for standardizing instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes.

The role supports asset reliability by developing and assigning appropriate equipment strategy. Acting as the primary point of contact, your day will involve overseeing the equipment strategy assignment, collaborating with team members, and ensuring project success.

Purpose & Accountabilities:

  1. Perform engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzer, and control systems.
  2. Review and update equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation (e.g. Transmitters, control valves, flow meters, analyzers)
  3. Collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.
  4. Understanding of asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management.
  5. Understanding of Preventive, Predictive, Condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets.
  6. Standardize instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes.
  7. Knowledge of hazardous area classification, international instrumentation standards.
  8. Skilled Instrument Maintenance Technics with understanding of the preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation, including control valves, on-off valves, various field instruments.
