As a Portfolio Management Specialist, you will play a key role in overseeing the performance of our financial institution clients. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of 35-40 Financial Institution (FI) clients, undertaking detailed due diligence on borrowers and industries, and preparing credit assessment reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end annual renewal of limits and borrower ratings in accordance with our Banks' credit processes and procedures, collaborating with other stakeholders as needed.
- Conduct portfolio monitoring, including covenant checks, and prepare periodic monitoring reports.
- Prepare periodic sector reports and stress tests of the portfolio based on continuous monitoring of developments.
- Support Relationship Managers and Credit Officers on ad-hoc requests related to new transactions or other portfolio reviews.
- Lead calls with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth portfolio management.
- Assist in preparation of presentations for management reporting, Credit Committee meetings, etc.
- Audit management, Internal, External, including regulatory inspections, Credit Examination, JFSA, MAS, BoJ, RBI, Statutory, etc.
- Maintain credit files as per Banks procedures and requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of financial statements and credit analysis of Financial Institutions, such as banks, insurers, asset managers, etc., with knowledge of key regulatory requirements.
- Ability to comprehend macroeconomic environment and its impact on borrowers and portfolio.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, CapIQ, and similar systems is beneficial.
- Product knowledge is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills are essential.
- Strong team player with attention to detail, collaborative attitude, and diligence.
- Prior experience managing FI portfolios in a similar setup is ideal, while exposure to APAC markets will be an added advantage.
