**Job Overview**We are seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development group, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans and test cases for embedded firmware.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Firmware Testing: Design and execute test plans and test cases for embedded firmware. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of firmware to ensure it meets required specifications.
  • Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and functional testing. Leverage automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline the test process and improve coverage.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Investigate and debug issues reported from testing or field feedback. Identify root causes of failures in the firmware. Collaborate with firmware developers to isolate and resolve issues in the firmware.
  • Firmware Quality Assurance: Evaluate firmware compliance with quality standards and guidelines. Continuously monitor firmware functionality and performance. Review and enhance testing methodologies to adapt to new product features and functionalities.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed test documentation. Document and communicate test progress, issues, and results to the project team and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller architectures. Proficiency in testing embedded firmware and debugging tools. Knowledge of C/C++, Python, and scripting languages. Communication protocols used in home appliances.
