Job Overview

A skilled Embedded Firmware Tester with 3-7 years of experience is required to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for electronics products with embedded firmware.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review Firmware Requirements documents, derive test cases from requirements, and design automated and manual test cases for execution.
  • Analyse results, triage automated test failures, and manually execute tests to identify defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot reported issues and assist in their resolution.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in manual and automated test case design, execution, and reporting defects.
  • Skilled in Python programming with Object Oriented concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in electronics product testing using simulators, oscilloscope, multi-meter, function generators etc.
  • Experience in testing embedded products with communication interfaces using Modbus / Ethernet / HART / Foundation Fieldbus etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferrable Skills:

  • Domain knowledge / experience in Instrumentation / Industrial automation product testing.
  • Unit Testing experience in C++ using LDRA / ParaSoft.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins etc.
