Job Description:

We are seeking an accomplished Academic Leader to join our faculty as a Professor of Digital Media and Marketing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of digital media and marketing education at Symbiosis Skills & Professional University.

  • Lecture Delivery: Design and deliver high-quality lectures, workshops, and seminars that facilitate skill-based learning in digital media and marketing.
  • Course Development: Create and update course materials and assessments to reflect current industry trends, tools, and skills.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their academic growth and career readiness.
  • Research: Conduct research to advance knowledge in digital media and marketing and integrate findings into the curriculum.
  • Industry Collaboration: Collaborate with industry professionals to arrange guest lectures, workshops, and real-world projects for students.
  • Professional Development: Engage in professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
  • Curriculum Development: Actively participate in curriculum development and improvement efforts within the department.
  • Student Support: Guide students in internships, capstone projects, and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Department Initiatives: Support department initiatives by contributing to workshops, networking events, and industry collaborations.
  • Networking: Build a professional network to enhance students' exposure to real-world opportunities in digital media and marketing.
  • Innovation: Encourage innovation and creativity in students, preparing them for dynamic roles in the industry.
  • Academic Advising: Provide academic advising and career counseling to help students align their skills and interests with career paths.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must possess a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field and a First class or equivalent at either Bachelor's or Master's level in the relevant branch. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching, research, or industry, with at least 3 years at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor. Furthermore, you should have at least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals/UGC/AICTE-approved lists of journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor/Co-Supervisor until the date of eligibility for promotion.
