Job Title: Sports Program Director

The Sports Program Director will oversee the development and implementation of sports programs, physical education initiatives, and wellness activities across the institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive vision and strategy for sports department
  • Oversee sports programs, tournaments, training camps, and physical education curriculum
  • Manage sports facilities, gymnasiums, and grounds for proper maintenance and utilization
  • Identify, recruit, and mentor talented athletes to represent the institution
  • Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and faculty to promote fitness and sportsmanship
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of sports coaches and staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote ethical sports practices
  • Formulate and implement sports and physical education policies as per norms
  • Identify and groom talented sportspersons to represent the institution at various levels
  • Liaise with sports councils, federations, and recognized bodies for collaboration and participation

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale sports events and teams.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of modern training methods, sports technology, and performance analytics.
  • Record of representing the university/college at competitions or championships.
  • Knowledge of national sports policies.
