The role of the Production Application Specialist is to oversee the planning, design, configuration, development and testing of production applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, implement, develop and maintain production application software to meet operational needs.
  • Analyze, design, configure, develop, and test requested functionality in the development environment.
  • Install and configure high availability for production applications.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to test and accept new changes in the test environment.
  • Migrate newly developed functionality to the production environment with minimal negative impact on business operations.
  • Monitor production applications to ensure normal operation in the production line.
  • Maintain documentation for key applications.
  • Follow industry best practices for software development life cycle and company policies and practices for production applications.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams for production application projects and support activities.
  • Train junior or new members of the team and users as required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field required. Relevant work experience can be considered in lieu of education.
