Financial Accountant Job Description

The primary objective of the Financial Accountant role is to oversee and manage the financial operations of the organization, encompassing bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, guaranteeing timely entry of financial data.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that are transparent, concise, and informative.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, conduct bank reconciliations, and make general ledger entries in a seamless and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to ensure optimal financial performance.
  • Ensure adherence to GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations by implementing effective processes and controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide support during the audit process to maintain transparency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit required statutory returns and financial reports in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting as needed to inform business decisions and drive growth.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (M.Com, CA Inter, or similar qualification preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial accounting role with a proven track record of success.
  • Be proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar) and possess excellent MS Excel skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Indian taxation and financial regulations, as well as attention to detail.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time-management abilities, coupled with good communication skills in English and Tamil.
