Chemical Import Expert

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical imports and excellent communication skills.

  • Import Operations Management: Oversee the import process, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining accurate records.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare export invoices, packing lists, and other related documents to facilitate smooth imports.
  • Insurance Certificates: Generate insurance certificates through online portals and ensure sufficient insured amount balances are maintained.
  • Hazardous Cargo Handling: Understand various Haz Classes, Packing Groups, and prepare Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD).
  • Communication and Coordination: Manage all communication and coordination with factories, CHA, forwarding agents, transporters, shipping lines, and customers.
  • Negotiation and Freight Management: Negotiate air or sea freight with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHA, and coordinate vessel/bookings.
  • Quality Control: Check and approve SB checklists/BOE checklist/AWB draft/BL draft, etc.
  • Transportation Arrangements: Arrange courier shipments through DHL/FedEx and transport FCL shipments/factory stuffing.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regular review and understanding of SCOMET and Narcotics requirements for every shipment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduation degree required.
  • Experience: 3+ years experience in chemical imports preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, good communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
