The role of the HR Risk Lead is to spearhead risk management activities within the Human Resources function, embedding it in all aspects of HR work. They will design the strategy and work plan for the function, ensuring all activities are delivered against that plan.

This position involves leading functional and leadership communications, change management, and representing Human Resources in centralized risk management forums.

The HR Risk Lead will provide HR risk management insight into central programs, ensuring work driven into HR is proportionate and appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with local risk assessments
  • Owning Business Continuity Management Plans for India HR Functions
  • Identifying and remediating local issues and events
  • Implementing local tasks for regulatory changes
  • Reporting on local risk aggregation
  • Identifying local HR models
  • Providing audit and examination support for local HR
  • Offering risk advisory support for local HR

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing internal governance processes including consistent controls and monitoring programs for India HR
  • Managing documentation and execution of local HR controls
  • Leading audit activities, including establishing a framework to facilitate both internal and external audits
  • Leading HR risk activities and serving as Risk point-person for Capital One India
  • Tracking and resolving HR India issues and events within agreed upon timeframes
  • Developing a reporting framework and cadence to regularly inform team and leaders on risks and issues
  • Consulting with leaders and team members to ensure end-to-end services and products are well managed
  • Influencing leaders, peers, and stakeholders to develop and deliver best possible outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Bachelors Degree
  • 8+ years experience in Project management experience leading cross-functional projects and programs in HR Risk
  • 8+ years experience in Risk or Audit Management
  • PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
