About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional AI Engineer to lead the development of our core intelligence platform, revolutionizing the way researchers access and utilize academic information. This role requires expertise in information retrieval, scalable backend systems, and generative AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy semantic search pipelines, graph-based retrieval, and agentic systems that drive cutting-edge research advancements.
  • Create scalable APIs and services capable of serving hundreds of concurrent requests, ensuring seamless user experience.
  • Architect, implement, and productionize vector databases and embedding-based retrieval systems for efficient information management.
  • Work on GenAI integrations including react agents, graph agents, prompt engineering, and LLM orchestration to unlock new research possibilities.
  • Develop full-stack search engines from scratch that can handle real-world academic workloads, empowering researchers to make meaningful discoveries.
Requirements
  • Proven background in semantic search, vector databases, LLM frameworks, agent-based systems, and document retrieval.
  • Expertise in Python for backend development, with a focus on building scalable APIs and services.
  • Past experience deploying systems at scale, including search engines, retrieval pipelines, or embedding models.
  • Able to design infrastructure that serves hundreds of concurrent requests, ensuring high-performance capabilities.
  • Experience setting up and hosting APIs with public access while balancing speed, cost, and reliability.
