Job Summary

The primary function of this Storage Engineer role is to provide technical support and expertise in storage systems for a mission-critical banking environment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of storage infrastructure.

This position requires a strong background in storage administration, ITIL processes knowledge, experience with incident management and ServiceNow, as well as proficiency in Dell EMC, Cisco, and other relevant technologies. You will also need to have strong documentation skills and clear communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2/L3 level support for Storage (SAN, NAS, ECS or MF DASD + TAPE)
  • Perform daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using runbooks
  • Acknowledge and triage alerts; log and update incidents in ServiceNow/BMC
  • Execute backups/restores and routine jobs under change and supervision
  • Escalate to L2/L3 with accurate diagnostics, logs, and metrics

Requirements:

  • Strong Background: Storage Administration (SAN, NAS, ECS)
  • ITIL Processes Knowledge
  • Experience: Incident Management and ServiceNow
  • Proficiency: Dell EMC, Cisco, and other relevant technologies

Preferred Certifications:

  • Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE Storage certifications
  • Brocade/Cisco SAN certifications; AWS S3/Object Storage fundamentals
