Primary Years Programme Coordinator

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinator to lead and enhance our educational programme. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an engaging, student-centered environment and will work closely with teachers, students, and parents to promote the principles of the PYP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development:
  • Develop, implement, and review the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Cultivate collaboration among teachers to deliver effective PYP lessons and foster a culture of inquiry and reflection.
  • Provide expert guidance and support for teachers in designing transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Professional Development:
  • Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding and appreciation of the PYP.
  • Coordinate and support student assessments, maintaining accurate records as per IB requirements.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • IB PYP Coordinator Training:
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching, with a strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
