Job Overview:

  • Deploy, configure and manage servers (physical and virtual), storage systems and backup applications.
  • Create and manage user accounts, groups and mailboxes on Office 365 platforms.
  • Maintain Windows and RHEL servers, including file, FTP, print and SAN switch management.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
  • Provide Level 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting services to resolve issues.
  • Manage vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and manage server configurations, operating system administration, security hardening, load balancing and firewalls.
  • Lead data center on-premises and cloud server operations.
  • Perform periodic health checks, troubleshoot issues, analyze and implement corrective measures.
  • Install, upgrade and maintain computer hardware and software, manage virtual servers and integrate automation processes.
  • Manage Active Directory.
  • Perform backups of servers, databases and recovery procedures.
  • Proactively monitor client updates using Microsoft Intune.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, preferably VMware.
  • Configure and manage logical unit numbers (LUNs) and assign them to servers as needed.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in server administration, covering both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a user-friendly manner.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, analytical, negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Strong planning, organization, problem-solving, stress management and time management skills.
