About the Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing Scrum and Kanban events and artifacts, reporting on and monitoring work progress, identifying potential risks and dependencies, removing impediments, leading the team to continuously improve, and helping scale best practices at Marriott. You will effectively manage development sprints from planning to execution to review in an agile development environment. Additionally, you will run daily scrums, collaborate on requirement documentation, unblock barriers, coach cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and other Scrum Masters to foster decision-making and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate squad teams on a sprint-by-sprint basis
- Steer contributors through all scrum ceremonies including sprint increment planning, demos, reviews
- Drive squads to continuously improve through facilitated Retrospectives
- Project Leadership: act as escalation point for squads, maintain agile tools, track stories, defects, and progress toward commitments
- Establish standards and procedures for sprint, feature, and project reporting and documentation
Requirements:
- 4-6 years experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT full development life cycle
- Expertise in Agile tools like Jira, Confluence
- Agile practitioner mindset with understanding of common Agile practices
- CSM/SAFe certification or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage large and complex consulting engagements
