Electrical Maintenance Specialist

This role oversees all electrical maintenance activities within the plant. Directs and coordinates with various teams to prepare and implement maintenance programmes, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

The Electrical Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing maintainability reliability and minimizing maintenance costs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance Planning: Develops and implements detailed maintenance procedures and practices, prioritizing safe activities and efficient resource allocation.
  • Equipment Management: Oversees electronic and hard copy records for all equipment, conducting regular surveys to identify areas for improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyzes performance and maintenance cost data for various mechanical equipment, providing recommendations to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Equipment Evaluation: Reviews requirements for new equipment or major repairs, evaluating use of existing and new proposals, and raises recommendations for approval.
  • Inventory Management: Ensures no material shortage and that delivered materials meet required standards, optimizing consumables consumption as per the annual business plan.

Key expectations include:

  • 5S Activities: Ensures daily 5S activities are carried out on the shop floor, promoting a clean and organized work environment.
  • Safety Protocols: Ensures use of PPEs and work-specific safety equipment by employees, driving a culture of safety excellence.

Requirements for this position include:

  1. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical, Instrumentation
  2. Years of Experience: 15-20 years in Cold Rolling Mill Electrical Maintenance department
