Biostatistician Position Overview

Job Description:

This role involves leading the development of statistical strategies for clinical trials and collaborating with other teams to ensure successful execution. As a Senior Biostatistician, you will contribute to planning, execution, and interpretation of statistical analyses across various programs.

  • You will be responsible for biostatistics leadership on assigned studies and projects, including study design discussions, protocol development, and endpoint definition.
  • The position requires collaboration with programming and CRO partners to oversee and execute statistical analyses per approved plans.
  • You will provide statistical oversight of vendors and manage vendor collaborations, ensuring timely delivery of results.
  • This role also involves communicating project status to management and escalating issues or risks as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in clinical trial biostatistics for MS-level candidates, or 6 years for PhD-level candidates.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming using SAS, with knowledge of R and other programming languages being desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of statistical methodologies and clinical trial designs.
  • Strong understanding of CDISC standards (e.g., SDTM, ADaM) and their application.
  • Experience with regulatory support and interaction, as well as providing statistical oversight of vendors and managing CRO collaborations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple studies and timelines concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain statistical concepts to non-statisticians.

Please note that this position requires a strong background in biostatistics, excellent communication skills, and experience working in clinical trial environments.
