Job Overview:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions to meet our clients' needs. You will work closely with the product management team to understand requirements and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with cloud technologies like ElasticSearch and Kafka
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure high-quality code and follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with RCA and long-term solutions

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or related field with a solid academic track record
  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in backend development for large-scale enterprise products
  • Strong programming skills in Java; familiarity with Python is a plus
  • Proficient in Spring Boot, J2EE, and RESTful APIs
  • Experience with cloud technologies like ElasticSearch, Kafka, MongoDB, Hazelcast, Ceph, etc.
  • Strong experience in building scalable, concurrent applications
  • Exposure to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
