Job Title: Chief Credit Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned credit professional to lead our lending activities, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing credit strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and credit, with a minimum of 18-20 years of relevant industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement credit strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Manage a team of risk professionals and provide guidance on credit policy and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a thorough understanding of credit policy and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and adapt credit strategies accordingly.
  • Effectively manage large and senior teams.

Requirements:

  • CA or MBA Finance from reputed B-School
  • Strong experience of handling Credit function in Banking or NBFC
  • Should have led the function for a minimum of 2 years
  • In-depth understanding of Credit policy/processes in Lending/Lease products.
  • Risk Professional with 15 + years of experience
  • Have managed portfolio comprising of SME and Corporate clients
  • Exposure to multiple asset classes – Automobile, equipment, real estate etc
  • Exposure to leasing is preferable.
  • Understanding of ECL / loss models
  • Managed geographically spread teams
  • Exposure to new age underwriting / assessment tools and technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Sound understanding of technological advancements and digital tools used in credit underwriting and risk management.

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of Lending norms

Knowledge of CIBIL.
