Procurement Strategist Role

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Strategist to develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business goals. This role will lead, mentor, and manage the purchase and store team to achieve departmental targets.

The ideal candidate will optimize procurement, inventory, and sourcing processes for cost savings and efficiency. They will understand department requirements, club purchase needs, and source accordingly at group level.

Negotiating with vendors for best pricing and quality is key to success in this role. Finalizing vendors, executing agreements, and maintaining vendor trackers with cost-benefit analysis will also be responsibilities of the successful candidate.

Maintaining compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards is crucial. Managing inventory to meet production demands while minimizing waste and obsolescence is another key aspect of this job.

Utilizing ERP systems for tracking and reporting is essential. Monitoring costs, analyzing performance metrics, and reporting improvements to management will round out the duties of the Procurement Strategist.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • 13-17 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain (Manufacturing industry experience preferred)
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and supplier management processes
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and drive cost efficiency
