Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as Chief Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of litigation and dispute resolution procedures.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled lawyer with a strong background in power sector litigation. You will play a critical role in shaping the company's litigation strategy and ensuring that all matters are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Litigation Management: You will be responsible for handling litigation matters, including those related to RoW compensation, land acquisition, arbitration, constitutional matters, claims, contractual disputes, and criminal cases.
  • Representation: You will represent or assist in matters before various courts, including Writ Courts, District Courts, DRT, Claim Tribunal, Consumer Courts, etc.
  • Document Preparation: You will draft, vet, and finalize legal documents, brief senior and external legal counsels on matters, coordinate and follow up on daily updates on pending matters, prepare and monitor Legal MIS, manage and strategize litigation as per company objectives, deliver advice on legal positions backed with latest law positions and court decisions, ensure pragmatic, prompt, and cost-effective disposal/resolution of legal issues, ability to manage critical/high stake litigation, drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring company compliance with statutory and legal requirements, risk analysis and drafting legal agreements.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • LLB Degree: A degree in law from a recognized institution
  • Work Experience: At least 8-12 years of experience in handling litigation, preferably in the power sector
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction/EPC/infrastructure sector, infrastructure sector or law firm background preferred
