About the Job

We are seeking a Data Scientist, Business Intelligence and Analytics, to join our CBS Analytics team at Colgate-Palmolive. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work on high-impact cases with significant scope for scalability, driving growth for Colgate Palmolive in today's dynamic analytical/technological environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building data models and driving insights, with hands-on experience in developing statistical models and coding languages such as Python, R, SQL, PySpark, and SparkR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage machine learning techniques to build predictive modeling, simulations, and optimization solutions for clear business objectives and measured value
  • Conduct model validations and continuous improvement of algorithms, capabilities, or solutions built
  • Assemble large, sophisticated data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements
Requirements
  • Graduation/Masters in Statistics/Applied Mathematics/Computer Science
  • 1+ years of experience in building data models and driving insights
  • Hands-on experience in developing statistical models (regression, ridge regression, lasso, random forest, SVM, gradient boosting, logistic regression, K-Means Clustering, Hierarchical Clustering)
  • Strong understanding of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks)
  • Coding languages: Python, R, SQL, PySpark, SparkR
  • Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Domo, Power BI, and web apps framework using plotly, pydash, sql
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with third-party data (syndicated market data, Point of Sales)
  • Working knowledge of consumer packaged goods industry
  • Knowledge of Google products (BigQuery, data studio, colab, Google Slides, Google Sheets)
What We Offer

As a Data Scientist, Business Intelligence and Analytics at Colgate-Palmolive, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements.

Additionally, you will receive a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 USD per annum, based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
